IRONHORSE AT CENTRAL STATION
Oakland, California
Family Apartments
Ironhorse at Central Station provides 99 apartments for families earning up to 50 percent of area median income. Ironhorse stands at the center of Central Station, an exciting reintegration of approximately 29 acres of unused industrial land into the surrounding residential neighborhood. Central Station is the new master-planned undertaking by several developers including BRIDGE Urban Infill Land Development (BUILD), an affiliate company of BRIDGE funded primarily by CalPERS. Altogether more than 1,200 new homes will be constructed, along with new neighborhood-serving retail and the restoration of the historic 16th Street Station as an event space and cultural center. Just adjacent to Ironhorse, 14th Street has been fully reconstructed to include a traffic-calming pocket park and pedestrian amenities. Ironhorse will be a GreenPoint-Rated development, and BRIDGE’s first to participate in the Bay-Friendly landscaping program.
