Altaire
Altaire is a sustainable three and four bedroom new home community located in Palo Alto next to the new Palo Alto JCC. It is designed to incorporate many of the Smart Growth principles of design including infill development, mixed use, increased density to conserve resources, intergenerational uses, and homes have been designed for livability. The community, in the center of Silicon Valley is easily accessible to many major employers and with many walkable services nearby including the new adjacent Palo Alto JCC.
We focused on energy efficiency and meet Energy Star requirements. We did this by designing all buildings to be greater than 15% above title 24 (some greater than 22% above title 24), inspected duct testing to reduce duct leakage, installed and inspected High Quality Insulation Installation, and an installed an Air Barrier. The community will also save over 1,000,000 gallons of water per year compared to a code built house.
We achieved a Green Point Rating of up over 100 points on selected homes which demonstrates a high level of sustainability for a new home.
